We provide the full range of procedures in oral, maxillofacial and facial plastic surgery.

About us

The specialist field of oral and maxillofacial surgery requires about 14 years of training. It entails twin degrees in medicine and dental medicine, followed by five years of specialist medical training.

The range of treatments in oral and maxillofacial surgery includes all surgical procedures in the mouth, jaw and facial region, from wisdom tooth extraction, dental implants, fracture treatment, correction of jaw misalignment and cancer treatment to aesthetic operations such as eyelid lifts and anti-wrinkle treatment.

As we run a major hospital-operated department of oral and maxillofacial surgery in Munich, we are able to offer the full range of surgical treatment for the mouth, jaw and facial region.

Having worked for a number of years as senior consultants at both of Munich’s university hospitals, we have extensive experience and ability in diagnostics and surgery. That means you can receive full treatment from us; even in the case of more extensive surgery, we won’t have to refer you elsewhere.

We carry out advisory and diagnostic consultations, as well as surgery and after-care, on a personal basis. It’s important to us that we accommodate patients’ individual requirements.

Well-defined and comprehensible treatment concepts, which we carefully coordinate with the referring physicians and hospitals, are what makes this possible. Top-quality, high-precision surgery is an integral part of what we offer. Our aim is to fulfil the expectations of both our patients and the doctors referring them to us, achieving optimal surgical outcomes.

In the mouth, jaw and facial regions, medicine and aesthetics go hand in hand. The face and the mouth shape our self-perception to a very considerable extent and are a big factor in how we are seen by other people.

Soft-tissue injuries, fractures, benign or malignant growths, and bone and tooth losses can lead to changes in the shape and contours of the face.

Restoring form and function is a major aspect of our work.

Our treatment philosophy centres around close and personal relationships with our patients.

For the best-possible treatment of our patients, we have entered into cooperative arrangements with various hospitals in and around Munich.

The Paracelsus-Klinik in Munich has a major hospital-operated Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (medical directors: Prof. Dr. Paulus, M.D., D.D.S., Dr. Hohlweg-Majert, M.D., D.D.S., and Dr. Pautke, M.D., D.D.S.). Here you will receive compassionate and professional care from specialized staff.

At the Klinikum Dachau hospital we work closely and on an interdisciplinary basis with the Department of Otolaryngology (medical director: Prof. Hagedorn) and have the opportunity to provide intensive care to patients following complex surgery.

By means of cooperative agreements with the RoMed-Klinikverbund hospital group (Rosenheim, Wasserburg, Prien and Bad Aibling hospitals) and with the hospital company Kliniken Südostbayern (Traunstein, Trostberg, Freilassing, Berchtesgaden and Bad Reichenhall hospitals), we have succeeded in establishing a new trauma care network. Other hospitals in the Munich region are to join this network.
