Bichectomy

Bichectomy

The shapes of faces are naturally different. A round face shape with full cheeks (often referred to as "chubby cheeks" in children) may be recognized as less attractive in adults. By reducing or removing the fat deposits in the cheeks, a slimming of the face towards a V-shape or “heart” - shape can be achieved. In addition, the cheekbones are accentuated. The result is permanent.

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia or sedation in an ambulant setting. A hospital stay is not necessary. The surgical access is from the mouth, so that there are no visible scars. After about 1-2 weeks the swelling will have passed away.
